Maximum Size for applet upload

I decreased the size of my game drastically by modifying the background sound file. It's down to around 13 mb now; but I am still having trouble uploading the applet. It stalls during pakaging. I uploaded my applet to filezilla but when I call the url I get an error message saying applet loader failed during downloading pakages which looks like the game is still too large. I could make the size of the game smaller, but I need to know what the maximum allowable size is for the appletloader work properly. Does anybody know?

My bad!  I thought that it

My bad!  I thought that it was 20Mb but it turned out it was set to 10Mb.  I changed it so it really should be 20Mb now. Try uploading it again.

Thanks

Applets stilll don't upload.

The applets will still not upload. Same error as above when I tried to run the url from filezilla (error occured while loading applet, occured while downloading pakages); and it still stalls during pakaging when you try to upload the applet directly to env3D from the game class. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

What URL are you using when

What URL are you using when uploading your applet manually using Filezilla?  Let me see if I can take a look.

new applet issue

I decreased the size further and now I can upload the game; however, when it goes to launch locally I get a different error now saying "application error: textures/skybox/default/west.jpg (Flipped MipMapped). I checked the texture file and the west.jpg is there in the proper location and the spelling seems correct ( all lower case). It appears the textures are not loading. The game will run on my puter not using the applet. Any Ideas? The url for my filezilla applet upload is : http://compscistu.capilanou.ca/~garyeverett/Applets/BHapplet/appletloader.html . It doesn't work either. I just get a blank white screen once the page load is done, or it says switching applet then stalls.

It's kind of odd that it's

It's kind of odd that it's missing some textures.  In your code, did you ever put two or more textures definition on a single line?  i.e something like the following:

new SkyRoom("textures/west.jpg", "textures/east.jpg"...

If you did, please change the code so that each texture file name is on it's own line, i.e.

new SkyRoom("textures/west.jpg",

                     "textures/east.jpg",

                     ...);

env3d processes your code to extract out all the textures and models being used.  Right now, it only works if each texture and model file name is on its own line.

Thanks

texture loading

Originally my line read         EnvSkyRoom skyroom = new EnvSkyRoom("textures/skybox/default/");

I changed it to    EnvSkyRoom skyroom = new EnvSkyRoom("textures/skybox/default/bottom.jpg",
                                            "textures/skybox/default/east.jpg",
                                            "textures/skybox/default/north.jpg",
                                            "textures/skybox/default/south.jpg",
                                            "textures/skybox/default/top.jpg",
                                            "textures/skybox/default/west.jpg");

It didn't make any difference. When I upload java webstart to Env3D.org I get the same error saying "application error: textures/skybox/default/west.jpg (Flipped Mip mapped). The game runs on my computer fine but the applet doesn't work on any of the three Env3D options. I noticed that soulshunters brought up the same issue it seems last june (2011). Do you recall if he was able to resolve the issue?
